VISION

 

OUR VISION FOR THE YOUTH MINISTRY IS FOR EVERY YOUTH:

TO HAVE A GENUINE, DEEP-ROOTED, OVERFLOWING, VIBRANT, SPIRIT-FILLED, RELATIONSHIP WITH OUR LORD AND SAVIOUR JESUS CHRIST

 

TO BE A BOLD AND CONSTANT WITNESS FOR HIM

MISSION

Equip The Youth With The Word Of God, To Understand, Believe It And Apply It.

Train Up And Support The Youth To Be Used By God

2 Timothy 2:15 (KJV) 15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Hebrews 4:12 (NKJV) 12 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

 

Action:

  1. Monthly Sunday School (Every 2nd Sunday, 10am)

    1. Foundation, back to basics

    2. Prayer, how to pray, purpose of prayer,

    3. How to study the Word

  2. Youth Participation in Tuesday Prayer Meetings 4th Tuesday’s lead by Youth for 10-15minutes Youth will be given a month’s notice

  3. Home Bible Study Meetings

Proverbs 22:6 (NKJV) Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it.

 

2 Timothy 1:6-7 (NKJV) Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands. 7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

 

James 2:17 (NKJV) Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.

 

Romans 12:2 (NKJV) And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Currently:

 

  • Participating and leading the 4th Sunday Youth Services

  • Support and participate in other services and ministries, internally and externally of the local church and COGOP

 

To Engage in:

  • Evangelism

 

    • Bringing at least one additional youth to church

    • Singing in Green Street (Asking Newham Police Station’s permission)

    • Youth to receive local and/or regional training for Evangelism – what to expect? How to respond to strangers? Health and safety/safeguarding? Role playing? Sister Angela Clarke will supporting in this area

    • Collective and individual inward and outward Evangelism, at least 4 x a year

      • Half term: Monday 15 February 2016 to Friday 19 February 2016

      • Spring break: Friday 25 March 2016 to Friday 8 April 2016

      • Half term: Monday 30 May 2016 to Friday 3 June 2016

      • Summer break: Wednesday 27 July 2016 to TBA.

      • Half term: Monday 24 October 2016 to Friday 28 October 2016

      • Christmas break: Monday 21 December 2016 to Tuesday 3 January 2017
